Public Health Association of British Columbia

pHABCThe Public Health Association of British Columbia (PHABC)  is a voluntary, non-profit, non-government organization whose mission is to preserve and promote the public’s health. The Association works toward this mission through its activities in disease and injury prevention, health promotion, health protection, and advocacy for healthy public policy. The Board of Directors is comprised of public health leaders from various locales including Health Authorities, the Ministry of Healthy, post secondary institutions, and the non-profit sector.  The Association was founded in 1953 and is a provincial branch of the Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA). PHABC has close to 500 members and the website averages over 150,000 page views per month.
