Navneet Chana is a recent graduate from the Faculty of Health Sciences with a focus in Population and Quantitative Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University. Her time spent at SFU  has helped her cultivate a passion for a patient-centred approach to healthcare. Her interests lie in understanding the role of social determinants of health along with health promotion in overcoming health inequalities. She is currently involved in a arts-based research project that is addressing the need for mental health promotion during the COVID-19 pandemic. With the knowledge and experience she gained as a health sciences student, she is looking forward to implementing health promotion strategies and practising holistic approaches to health in her future endeavours.
